When it comes to XC skiing, there are a number of excellent options in the area. Most cross-country providers also have trails for snowshoeing.

Two of the closest Maine XC skiing opportunities nearest our Kennebunkport bed and breakfast are Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm and the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust. Both feature excellent, ungroomed trails for snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Though both of these options require you to provide your own your own equipment, Kennebunk’s Gorham Bike and Ski has all the rentals and supplies you need.

Another excellent cross-country skiing option is Harris Farm, located less than 30 minutes away in Dayton, ME. Harris Farm offers 40 km of trails for skiers of all levels. Snowshoe and fatbike rentals are also available in the farm retail and rental shop.
