Guest Rooms & Rates at this historic Maine Inn

The Captain Jefferds Inn welcomes guests to 15 uniquely appointed and individually decorated rooms and suites. There are ten guest quarters in the main house, and an additional five in the attached carriage house. All rooms and suites have been renovated with the discerning traveler in mind while preserving the original splendor and architecture of the federal style home. Each of our air-conditioned rooms (in the summer months) feature Queen or King size beds topped with featherbeds and superior quality bed linens, comforters and pillows. All rooms have a private bath with plush terry robes and towels, luxury bath amenities, hair dryers, and makeup mirrors.

Fresh flowers, daily housekeeping services, clock radios with iPod docking stations, flat screen televisions (some with DVD player), free wireless internet access throughout the property, and optional turn-down service are included to help make your stay more enjoyable. Some of our rooms have additional amenities, that are detailed in our room descriptions below.

Our rates range from mid-week peaceful season to weekend premier season.

Premier Season rates- are valid Memorial day through Halloween and all holidays and special events through out the year. Rates range from $199 to $389 per evening.

Peaceful Season rates- are offered November 1^st through the end of May, excluding holidays and special events. Rates range from $149 to $339 per evening.

We are pleased to offer active members of our military a 10% discount on reservations. Please call and mention this discount at the time you make your reservation.

Each room has midweek and weekend rates. Weekend rates apply to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. The room rate is for two people per room and includes our fully served gourmet breakfast from a set menu each morning as well as afternoon tea that includes an extensive selection of loose-leaf teas, fresh baked cookies, light hors d'oeuvres, as well as hot mulled cider in cooler months and freshly squeezed lemonade in warmer months.

A limited number of rooms will accommodate a third guest at an additional $50 per night. The inn is not appropriate for children under 10.

Our five outside accessed Carriage House rooms are pet friendly. There is an additional $30 per day, per pet charge and we offer excellent in-house pet-sitting. Please refer to our policies pages for additional information.

Baxter

Carriage House

Baxter is a fabulous, newly renovated rustic luxury room. Inspired by the old Maine camps, this room has a unique king size wooden bed, gas fireplace, terra-cotta tiled bath with shower, a large two-person whirlpool tub, a flat screen TV, and a refrigerator. This is a very romantic room with its own entrance and private screened porch.

Katahdin

Main House

Katahdin is a charming room located on the third floor of the main house. It has a queen size bed, private bath with tiled shower, flat screen TV, and a beautiful view of the historic residential district of Kennebunkport.

Florida

Main House

Florida is a lovely, bright room privately located in its own corner of the third floor. It has a flat screen TV and a private bath with a tub/shower combination. A queen size mission style bed is placed under a skylight for viewing the starry nights. Two trapezoidal doors give guests a wonderful overlook of the Inn’s private lawns and gardens.

Chatham

Main House

Chatham a beautiful room located on the first floor in the oldest part of the main house. It’s perfect for those who wish to avoid stairs. Decorated with green and off-white décor, this room also has ten foot high ceilings, wainscoting and beautifully preserved hardwood floors. It has a queen size, four-poster canopy bed, working fireplace (seasonal), a flat screen TV, and full tiled bathroom with tub/shower combination.

Connecticut

Main House

Connecticut is a cozy and traditional style room located on the second floor of the main house. The Connecticut room has a four-poster bed, hard pine wood floors, red and white toile wallpaper,a lovely sitting area with a gas fireplace (seasonal), and a flat screen TV. The private bath has a corner shower.

Main House

Camden is a delightful, sunny room on the second floor with a queen four-poster pineapple bed, antique armoire, working fireplace (seasonal) and a flat screen TV. The bathroom features a tub/shower combination.

Wyeth

Main House

Wyeth is an elegant corner room located on the second floor of the main house. Ten foot ceilings, three large windows with original wooden shutters, a rich maple king size bed, working fireplace (seasonal), and a flat screen TV. The private bath features a new tile shower with multiple body jets.

Monticello

Main House

Monticello is a large corner room on the second floor of the main house. It is traditionally decorated in colonial blue and white and has a king four-poster canopy bed, gas fireplace (seasonal), a flat screen TV, and tiled bathroom with shower.

Adare

Main House

Adare is located on the third floor and is uniquely furnished with an enormous king size sleigh bed, a two-sided gas fireplace (seasonal), and a flat screen TV. The bath is Italian tiled and features a glass block shower with dual shower heads, pedestal sink and a claw foot soaking tub raised on a platform with a view of the gas fireplace.

Assisi

Assisi is a beautiful, large room on the third floor of the main house, with a king size Verdigris iron bed, lovely sitting area in front of a gas fireplace (seasonal), a private garden, and a flat screen TV. The large bathroom has a pedestal sink and features a walk in Italian tiled shower with dual shower heads.

Arundel

Arundel is one of the larger rooms on the property located on the second floor at the end of a private hall. This room is decorated in a neutral pallet with chocolate accents. There is a large two person whirlpool spa, three-sided gas fireplace (seasonal) and Italian tiled bath. This room also has a comfortable sitting area with a flat screen TV and refrigerator.

New Hampshire

Carriage House

New Hampshire this large two room suite is located on the second floor of the carriage house with an outside entrance through a screened porch shared with the Vermont Room. Decorated in earth tones, reflecting New Hampshire's New England heritage, this queen size bedded room has a stall shower and a sitting room with a twin size day bed,flat screen TV, and refrigerator.

Vermont

Vermont this bright and airy two room suite is on the second floor of the carriage house and shares the screened porch with the adjacent New Hampshire suite. It has a queen four-poster bed in the bedroom and a separate sitting room with a twin day bed, a flat screen TV and a refrigerator. A beautiful bathroom has an antique claw-foot soaking tub set under a skylight and a separate shower.

Hideaway

Carriage House

Hideaway is a small, cozy, second floor room with private, outside access. The room features a plush queen size bed under a skylight, and a small private bath, making this room the perfect little hideaway. It has all the amenities and benefits of the inn, and can be used in conjunction with the New Hampshire suite through an adjoining doorway.
