In a small bowl stir together 1 ½ cups dairy sour cream, 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon rum, 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg till combined. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours to let flavors blend. Serve over fresh sliced strawberries. Makes about 1½ cups of sauce, enough to serve about 20.
Serve this in a champagne or martini glass with a mint leaf for an elegant presentation.
